Month of Travel

This past month has been rough. I learn where my patience ends and how to dig deep for even more.

For the past month my husband, T, has been traveling for work. He is a trainer and his company has been switching everyone over to the newest version of Microsoft. Here is the run down of his travels:

VRBOWeek 1:
Gone Monday early morning through Wednesday night

Week 2:
Gone Sunday afternoon through Wednesday night

Week 3:
Gone Monday early morning through Friday night

Week 4:
Gone Monday early morning through Thursday night

What was nice for us is that we got to get a lot of credit card points for his travel and we got some hotel points as well. His company works by having us pay for the travel and reimburse him. This is nice for us to get the credit card points but it also means that we have to pay up front.

It was rough to be home with a toddler when you are so used to being with your partner. E is getting about 4 teeth, trying to test boundaries and just needing his family close. E has been having trouble when T would leave after being away. E would cling especially close to T on the weekends when he was home. This morning when he saw him for the first time this week was very sweet. E just wanted to be with T, he would bring him books to read. When T had to leave for work this morning, E just cried and cried. I think he was thinking Dada wasn't going to be coming home for awhile.

When he was at home after daycare he was so excited to see Dada. T got many hugs tonight from little E and they were so sweet.

What do you do when your partners are traveling? How do you keep your little(s) from misbehaving and testing your patience?

E and I had a lot of fun while we were home by ourselves. We read lots of books, played outside with bubbles and got new spoons and he is eating with them much better. He has a new molar and two canine teeth that are very close to coming in. We danced in the living room to Pandora and we laughed a lot. E has learned to climb onto the couch with the help of a leg up. He is learning so much and so quickly. He currently has three board books that he loves for us to read; Little Blue Truck, Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see? and I love you Stinky Face.

Does your little one have a favorite book?
